My poster is about how facebook.com and ning.com can be used in the classroom. I took many design techniques into account when designing this poster.
Informational processing design theory: This theory was about how to make the information in my poster easily remembered. I used bold words, grouped my content, and used pictures.
Cognitive load theory: I used this theory by chucking my content. I chunked the facebook.com information and the ning.com information.
Gestalt principles: This theory was used in my poster by using symmetry throughout it. I used similar font and colors to go along with the theme. This made my poster visually appealing on the eye, which would lead to the poster being remembered. Lastly I used proximity by grouping similar content next to each other.
